Nazy Kaviani
Nazy Kaviani is the Program Assistant for the Center for Iranian Diaspora Studies at San Francisco State University. In this capacity Nazy coordinates the Center's events and community collaborations, special projects, and daily business operations. Nazy founded Diaspora Arts Connection, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping artists in diaspora to take to stages in California and beyond, responsible for curating, producing, and sponsoring cultural and artistic events. Nazy came to the San Francisco Bay Area in 1978 to pursue a college education in business and marketing, and has since made the Bay Area her home. Before pursuing her passions of human rights and arts activism, Nazy worked as a management executive and project manager in private and public sectors in three continents.
