Overview

Join us for an online event with Washington Post reporter, Nilo Tabrizy — co-author for the 2025 forthcoming book, For the Sun After Long Nights: The Story of Iran's Women-Led Uprising — for International Women's Day.

Tabrizy, who covered the protests in Iran from the US, will discuss some of the most dramatic protests, and the ways that she, as a journalist, had to utilize new methods of verification to cover them.

This event is co-sponsored by Center for Iranian Diaspora Studies, SF State Journalism Department, Department of Women and Gender Studies and Department of Middle East and Islamic Studies.
