A Week with Hamid Naficy

Join us for a week of events with Dr. Hamid Naficy, Professor, Department of Radio/TV/Film at Northwestern University, and a leading authority in cultural studies of diaspora, exile, and postcolonial cinemas and media, and of Iranian and Middle Eastern cinemas and media. He is the author of the four-volume History of Iranian Cinema, An Accented Cinema: Exile and Diasporic Filmmaking, and The Making of Exile Cultures: Iranian Television in Los Angeles. In collaboration with the Center, DocFilm Institute, the School of Cinema, UC Berkeley Center for Middle Eastern Studies, and the Berkeley Art Museum/Pacific Film Archive, Dr. Naficy will speak at the following events:
